Specifications

| Grade | Shore | Temperature | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| General purpose | 40–80 | −60 to +200 °C | Good all-round physical properties, in many shore hardnesses. |
| Non-postcured | 50–80 | −60 to +250 °C | Low compression set and better temperature resistance, for parts under pressure where shape retention matters. |
| High tear, high temperature (peroxide cure) | 40–80 | −60 to +300 °C | Excellent temperature withstand capacity, good tensile and wear strength, and transparency. |
| High tear transparent (platinum cure) | 40–70 | up to +250 °C | Very pure silicone with no by-products remaining. Mainly medical applications. |
| V-0 sponge | 10–30 | −60 to +220 °C | Sealing against uneven faces at ultra-low hardness, with UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy. |
| Flame retardant / electrically conductive | 60–70 | up to +200 °C | Combines the properties of both the flame-retardant and electrically conductive grades. |
Tighter tolerances can be accommodated on request. Whether extruded or cut from sheet, we work with the manufacturer to tailor the product to your specific requirement.
New to these terms? What the numbers mean
- Shore A
- How hard the rubber is. 25 is soft like a rubber band, 40 like a pencil eraser, 70 like a car tyre, 80 firm like a shoe heel.
- Tensile
- How hard you can pull before it breaks. Higher is stronger.
- Compression set
- How much thickness it fails to recover after being squeezed. Lower is better for seals.
- Tear
- How well it stops a small cut from spreading.
- V-0
- UL 94 V-0: if it catches fire, the flame stops within 10 seconds, with no burning drips.
- Platinum
- Platinum-cured: made without peroxide, so nothing is left behind to leach out. Used where purity matters.
Try it
Two quick, hands-on ways to understand this product before you ask.
How firm is 10–80 Shore A?
Drag the press down onto a block, then let go. It gives way and springs back as the real rubber would: from soft like a rubber band to firm like a shoe heel.
Will it take your temperature?
Drag the marker to the hottest (or coldest) your part sees.
